I don't have a ton of things to say this evening because this day ran like clockwork, and that is a positive thing. This morning was a slow start as expected as groups went to their projects and found out where they would begin for the week. All groups got started and one group even finished with their opening project today. Well, almost all groups. We did have a little situation with our trailer yesterday after we got loaded with our wood for the week. After a nice trailer visit today, God was in control b/c this project seemed like it was going to be a 2 day ordeal with the trailer in the shop, but we walked into the place and there in the middle was a huge cross. These people were believers and got working right away to get our trailer parts replaced and fixed so that all in all, we are probably only about 3 hours behind schedule on projects than I anticipated.
This evening, these students simply dominated at our VBS sites. These students lead it all and there was not a snag one at our sites. This is what is incredible to see from our leadership perspective, these students leading out their work, and to see their heart behind it. For all of our first time people here, today is the day it sets in what Rio is really all about. At our Indians Hills site, we had about 60 for day one of VBS. Casa had almost 40.

I think that should work at least. Any way, tonight ended phenomenal, with three of our girls leading us in worship. Then I brought the end of day challenge to our students. I talked about Judas, and the internal battle that he must have been facing. He was in the innercircle of Christ but at the same time, the world had something to offer to him. So which did he choose. The world. I simply told them, i really don't know if some of them are saved. They may think they are, b/c they seem to appear to be in that innercircle of Christ as Judas was. They go to church, they have the right friends, they even come on a mission trip. But at the end of the day, do they have a relationship, and choose Christ and not the world?
It really was an incredible week, and I am blessed to be able to take part in this team. BTW, we are blessed too. B/c this morning, it felt like early spring here, with clouds and wind, I was confused because this weather was not a normal summer day in the Valley.
